UTILITIES

The various utilities in St. Francois County are supplied by a number of providers. Electric service is provided by AmerenUE. Missouri Natural Gas Company is the primary supplier of natural gas in the County. Incorporated communities in the County provide water, sewer and solid waste disposal.

Bismarck

Electric

Electric service is provided by AmerenUE (see AmerenUE rate schedule).

Residential and commercial trash collection for the City of Bismarck is provided by several companies, including CWI-Missouri (800-844-3151), Southeast Missouri Sanitation, Inc. (573-747-1232) and D & L Trash Service (573-734-6065).

AmerenUE also offers an Economic Development Rider designed to encourage industrial and commercial development in Missouri. The Rider is only available to customers otherwise qualified for service under the company’s 2(M) Large General Service Rate, 4(M) Small Primary Service Rate or the 11(M) Large Primary Service Rate and is only available in conjunction with local, regional, or state governmental economic development activities where incentives have been offered and accepted by a customer who is requesting service to locate new or expanding facilities in the company’s service area.

Missouri Natural Gas Company provides natural gas to all of St. Francois County, including those municipalities which deliver natural gas service to their residents.

All gas used by the customer for the balance of the year shall be billed under the Residential General Service rate.
